Dj Campbell returned to haunt his former club with the opening goal in their 2-0 win over high-flying Birmingham City.
The striker, who scored 12 goals in 50 appearances for the Blues, bagged his second goal in as many games to set Blackpool on the road to victory with a fine header.
Keith Southern added a second for the home side eight minutes before the break to complete the double over the lacklustre visitors.
The defeat puts a massive dent in Birmingham's push for the Premier League as they blew their chance of going second and boss Alex McLeish admits he will have one eye on the midweek clash between Wolves and Reading. |

The BBC website topped the list, with 912 hours. Two google sites were in second place. Other popular viewing included Sky Sports, Heart FM, Wikipedia and auctioneering site Ebay.
Now the council’s entire workforce has been barred from using social networking sites between 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm.

Birmingham City Council has claimed it will save £46 million this year after turning round a failing SAP-based system.
The Voyager finance system, which is used for e-procurement including paying bills, crashed repeatedly in the four months after its October 2007 launch and at one point led to a backlog of 20,000 to 30,000 unpaid invoices, it was reported. Angry suppliers sent bailiffs round to the council to reclaim their money, it was reported at the time. |
